Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using AssessLane, operated by StructorX ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

AssessLane helps teams create training assessments, review and assign them, track completion, and produce completion reports. You can use it from the web app or from AI clients that connect to our remote MCP server. AssessLane saves and manages the questions you or your AI client provide; you are responsible for reviewing assessment content before you assign it.

3. Accounts and organizations

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Organization owners and administrators are responsible for who they invite, the roles they grant, and the content and assignments in their organization.

4. AI clients and connections

When you connect an AI client, you authorize it to act on your account with the access you grant, and you are responsible for actions it takes on your behalf. Review what a client will do before approving write access. We are not responsible for third-party AI clients or their output.

5. Acceptable use

Use the service only for lawful purposes. Do not submit content you are not authorized to use, attempt to access data of organizations you do not belong to, interfere with the service, or abuse its rate limits.

6. Availability and warranties

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Assessment results are not legal, compliance, or employment advice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StructorX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

8. Payment and billing

Orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles billing inquiries and returns. Subscriptions are billed per seat and may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Commercial Disclosure for details.

9. Refunds

New subscriptions have a 14-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, contact support@assesslane.com or use the Paddle chatbot at paddle.net. After 14 days, payments are generally non-refundable.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without prior notice, for breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may modify these terms. We will notify you of material changes through the service or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law rules.
