Connect AssessLane to your AI client

Create employee onboarding and customer-support training, inspect saved question-bank content, and track completion through a remote MCP connection. Export audit evidence when compliance needs it.

Remote MCP endpoint
Use a button below, or copy this complete HTTPS URL into another client's remote MCP settings.

Each button opens the client with the AssessLane connector prefilled. You'll review and confirm the connection, then sign in to AssessLane, before anything is added.

What you can do

Create practical training

Turn onboarding guides, support playbooks, or internal procedures into an assessment and inspect its saved questions.

Track training completion

Review completion and overdue assignments, with CSV audit evidence available when compliance needs it.

Work in the right organization

Confirm the signed-in account and retrieve organization IDs with whoami before running other tools.

Onboard a whole team

Create a team workspace, invite members by email, and assign training without leaving your AI client.

Connect and run your first task

You need an AssessLane account and a client that supports remote HTTPS MCP servers with OAuth. Setting names vary by client.

  1. 1

    Sign in to AssessLane

A new account receives a personal workspace automatically. Return to this guide after signing in with Google or email.

  2. 2

    Add a remote MCP connection

In your MCP client's connector or integration settings, add the endpoint shown above. Choose the remote HTTPS or Streamable HTTP option when the client asks for a transport.

  3. 3

    Complete authorization

Follow the OAuth sign-in window, review the requested access, and allow the connection. If your client offers an access level, choose Read and write when you plan to create or edit assessments — read-only connections receive an access error when calling write tools. The client returns to its own interface when authorization finishes.

  4. 4

    Confirm the account

Ask: "Use AssessLane whoami and list the organizations I can access." Keep the returned organization ID for the next request.

  5. 5

    Set up a team (optional)

Ask: "Create a team workspace named <team name> with AssessLane create_team_workspace, then add <email> as a member with add_or_invite_member." The new workspace is usable right away; your first team automatically starts the free trial. Existing AssessLane accounts are added directly, new email addresses receive an invitation.

  6. 6

    Complete a first work task

Ask: "Write five training questions from the policy below, then use AssessLane create_assessment to save them with INTERNAL visibility in my chosen organization, and assign them to every member with a due date next Friday." Then paste the policy excerpt you want your AI client to use.

If authorization fails

Remove the AssessLane connection from your client.

Sign in here with the Google account that belongs to the organization you need, then add the endpoint again.

If write tool calls report a missing write scope, the connection was authorized read-only: remove and re-add it, choosing Read and write this time. If the consent screen offers no write option, the client itself is requesting read-only access — configure the client to request the write scope before reconnecting.

Each successful refresh restarts a 30-day window, so an actively used connection stays authorized indefinitely. If a connection goes unrefreshed for 30 days and the client then reports authorization errors, remove and re-add it.

Sign in and return
Prepare team training

A new account's Personal Workspace is ready for trying assessment creation, but it does not start a team trial.

In the web app, create or select a team organization and invite its members before assigning training. Completion, overdue, and audit tools require an OWNER or ADMIN role.
